Bio: After working in the corporate world and feeling the fit wasn't right, I decided to get certified as a postpartum doula, which I'm currently in the process of doing. I've been around children of all ages (newborn to teens) since I was 10 years old and it comes naturally to me. I've worked at a pre-school, at a children's museum and have been a nanny for several families. The fact is I enjoy working with children, families and getting to be a part of their lives!
Philosophy: The reason I decided to become a postpartum doula comes down to the simple fact that I love the idea of helping new mothers and families through the transitional period of life with baby. Many moms (and fathers, partners, etc..) can find this time to be stressful and exhausting, and I'd like to help ease that in any way I can. As a postpartum doula, I understand that parents, whether new or experienced, need time to adjust to their additional responsibilities.
