POSTPARTUM DOULA
Website: www.mothermedoulacare .com

Trainings/Certifications:  CAPPA trained postpartum doula.
Personal postpartum & breastfeeding experience. Previous
experience with families prenatal and postpartum, currently
working on my certification with CAPPA

Bio: I am married and have 2 grown girls. During my daughter's
first birthing experience I was very blessed to have been able to
be with her for 9 weeks before and after my grandson's birth.
With her husband deployed to Iraq, she would have been all
alone during that time. I was able to teach her baby care,
breastfeeding and all the other first-time experiences that new
parents go through. It was so rewarding to have been there.  Several months after that experience, someone
mentioned they had hired a postpartum doula and how wonderful an experience it had been for her family.
VOILA!  Having never heard of a doula, I immediately started my research and found my passion.  What a joy to
be able to provide the information and support necessary for a new mother to be able to provide quality care to
their newborn!

Philosophy: All parents deserve to be provided with the knowledge and support on how to provide quality care
to their newborn.  A non-judgmental supportive doula who understands the trials and challenges you are facing
can assist in making the transition to parenthood easy and stress free.  As a Teacher, Mentor, Cheerleader and
Supporter I will fulfill many roles as needed. Coordinating the efforts and support of friends and family, as well as
handling errands and preparing meals, I will afford you the opportunity to rest, heal, and learn in a low-stress
environment. The confidence that you will gain from your doula's experience in baby care, breastfeeding and
integrating the newborn into your existing household will be priceless to each member of your family.
