Bio: I am a happily married mother to a baby girl! I was a former Flight
Attendant and became a stay at home mom when my daughter was born.
I have always loved babies and I guess you can say I was one of those crazy ladies that enjoyed being
pregnant! When my daughter was born I didn’t have all the knowledge I needed about laboring and giving birth.
All I knew was what I researched on the internet. I had a very good labor and was very, very mobile throughout. I
was almost to the pushing stage when I decided to get an epidural. I look back now and realize that I didn’t need
it for the pain because I was managing really well on my own, but it was the fear of the unknown that made me
cave and get it. I knew that at the time but didn’t know it would affect me so much emotionally afterwards. She
was born an hour later and I look back and feel like I would have made a different decision had I known a little
more about what was happening to me and my body. It was my experience that made me want to help other
women overcome the fear of the unknown and to trust themselves and their bodies.
Philosophy: Giving birth is an event that I can only describe as Euphoric. It is an experience that you remember
for the rest of your life and a woman does not know her own physical, mental, and emotional strength until she
has to bring a new life into the world. I would like to support women in achieving a birth experience that they can
look back on with self elation. I know that sometimes there can be regrets after birth when things don’t go as you
planned. I want to make sure that you know that you did what you could on your part and that every woman
gives birth no matter how it is accomplished.
How many births do you attend a year?
I serve clients birthing in these hospitals: All Charlotte area
How many prenatal and postpartum visits do you provide? 2 prenatal and 1 postpartum
Additional Services: Experienced Breastfeeding mom, Cloth diapering how-to ! I am always happy to make a
meal care package to bring for a new mommy.
