Bio: I became interested in supporting other mothers after
my own five premature births. I began training and offering
labor and birth support in 1993, and have participated in
births in homes, birth centers and hospitals. More recently, I have focused my practice on
preparing couples for childbirth with custom designed birthing classes and help after the birth
through breastfeeding support and postpartum doula services.
Philosophy: I believe that birth is a milestone family event and that parenting is a sacred trust.
Mothers and fathers need reliable support and education which awakens and supports their
parental instincts, and empowers them to make informed, confident choices regarding birth and
parenting. I believe this builds strong, loving families.
